Designation by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA)

Scope of the designation

EMCE GmbH has been designated by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) as a "Technical Service" in accordance with the standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-03. The KBA confirms that the company has demonstrated that it has the necessary skills, specific expertise and experience to carry out tests independently. These tests relate to Regulation (EU) No. 858/2018, Regulation (EU) No. 168/2013, Regulation (EU) No. 167/2013, the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) and the Vehicle Parts Ordinance (FzTV), which can be used as part of the KBA approval process.

In its function as a technical service, EMCE GmbH is authorized to carry out EMC tests as part of type approval procedures and to submit the necessary documents for the granting of a type approval to the Federal Motor Transport Authority.

Recognition by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) requires technical equipment that conforms to the standards and special technical competence of the personnel. Regular audits by the KBA guarantee the consistently high quality of the processes.

Special measurement technology, test equipment and comprehensive know-how: EMCE is your partner for accurate preliminary tests of EUBs for use in serial vehicles or as retrofitting components – including acceptance.

Through the targeted application of diverse measuring equipment and testing stations as well as specific configurations of appropriate software, we perform reliable measurements for you and, on request, determine the exact interference edge of your components.

For this, we draw on a wide range of different monitoring systems as well as optical and acoustic procedures which are connected via interfaces with the monitoring software.

  • Alternative free-field measuring stations for 3 m and 10 m measuring space – OATS
  • Shielded rooms
  • High frequency amplifiers with up to 1.5 kW transmission power for high field strength and testing severity levels
  • Current clamps [9 kHz - 400 MHz]
  • ESD interference generator up to 30 kV test level
